Caught up with Lori & Ellena McConnell [niece and her daughter] for the week-end. We had a great time catching up on old times and watching Ellena put it away at Olive Garden.

Week-end in the Love State

Pulled into Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield VA on Friday for three days to visit with Linda's niece and daughter. Beautiful, spacious park with 130 sites. Glad we move out of North Carolina before the storm on Sunday.

New Friends in St. George, SC

Been gone for so long, you'll talk to anyone who will listen. The girls were next to the Jolly Arces Campgrounds and came over for a visit.

Brunswick, GA

The city of Brunswick rolling out the red, oops the blue carpet for us to the ocean. Neat.

Two for One site

Moved up the coast to Saint Augustine for the week-end. Also visited the alternate direction which is the flea market.

Defending the Harbor of St. Augustine

We got an upfront and personal demonstration of the firing of the cannon by the Spanish soldier. After the big "boom" many came out to see the action, but it was too late, only done once an hour.

Ran the RV

Been there, done that!" does refer to Daytona International Speedway. Always a treat to go back for "500 Experience" and the track tour.

Cortland Spring Breakers

Hanging off balconies is normal during spring break here but for Lou & "shy" Mary Ellen Opera? The twenty year veterans of Daytona during the winters showed Linda and I a great time touring the area and visiting at their condo. Oh, Happy 82 birthdays last week, Louie.

North Bound??????

We left Sunday, March 14th from the confines Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee to return North, almost. Drove one hour and found us in the middle of spring break. What's another week here!

Florida Sun showers

Thursday's day long shower activties show more movement than the Syracuse Orangemen did against Georgetown. Four tornadoes sited with one touching down in the area with some damage in nearby Haines City 24 miles south, but no harm here except for Orange Pride.

Entertainment at Pool 13-Westgate, Orlando

Been hanging out here at the timeshare for 3 weeks. Finally warm enough to go to the pool where they have entertainment and getting sunburned. Went to a comedy magic show which was very good, they had salad, pizza and beer-nearly half price for us seniors! Westgate has been having duelling pianos on Monday nights playing oldies mostly. They were excellent. They didn't spread the word very well so there weren't alot of people on either Monday night. We are off to Daytona Beach on Sunday the 14th just as the college kids leave who are on spring break this week. Decided to stay south for awhile since the weather is so unpredictable. Will start home in a couple of weeks.
