Roughing it....

Charlane Huff, formlly of Cortland & Monarch Machine and Jim Williams of Sanford, NC stop at our new location in Apopka, FL on saturday for a couple of catching up days. It seems they enjoyed the relaxing life of retirement until it was time to move on to the PGA show in Orlando via stop at Jake & Lucy Jacobs [more snowbirds from Cortland.]

Little friend

Judy trying to make friends with this little guy in the bird house.

Seeing eye to eye

Bert looking eye to eye with his new 14' friend.

Kids photo opportunity???????

A kids photo opportunity always takes a couple of minutes to get the kids ready. As you can see, Judy & Bert were no exception either.

Went safaring....

Spent thursday with our Homer neighbors, the Haese at Safari World in West Palm Beach. Just a sample of the animal exhibits in the cruise.

Manatees

Found a few Manatees After driving 25 miles to see the manatees and finding none, we returned back too Stuart and found a crowd looking in a inlet from a bridge at these. Big and ugly.

Awaiting passage

Approaching the lock in a holding pattern awaiting our turn.

Oops...wrong side

Railroad bridge crossing over the canal that opens for watercraft by swivling 90 degrees. But you still need to be starboard side for passage. Long trip back to Gulfport, MS.

Locks of Port St Lucie

Moved last Saturday across the state to Phipps State Park in Stuart, FL for the week. Located our neighbors, Judy and Bert Haese and went on an inlet cruise on the man made St Lucie Canal. First mate Judy is readying the bouys to tie up as the gates close behind us. Then all hell breaks loose as the gates open in the front. No, just kidding as it took about 20 minutes to fill.

More Cortland snowbirds.

While Randy rested, Linda & I went on visit to Gary & Linda Mead's new winter location in Cape Coral also. Gary is a former co-worker at Monarch Machine in Cortland with Linda and I and his wife, Linda is retired from the Cortland school system. An interesting note is both Lindas' birthday is July 17th. They're doing a great job refurbishing their winter home.

A win for the Giants!!!!!!!!!!!

A big win for the Giants and Randy is happy. Amanda thinks tomorrow will be different. She was right again, "One party Parksy" on Sunday afternoon.

Giants score.......

Randy and Amanda celebrate the first score by jumping in the pool. Giants do it again and again! What are those Cowboys doing? Oh, playing golf.

Visiting the area....

We picked up the RV in Kissimmee Saturday for a week stay on the Peace River in Wauchula. Sunday found us in Cape Coral at the Winter residence of Jane, Randy & Amanda Park from Virgil, NY.

More Daytona action

These guys rolled in Friday to the convention center for a weekend show. Will watch it on the Speed channel later.

The view

The Trophy Room is on the top floor and this is the view from the elevator going down.

The Trophy Room

Their all there, the President's Cup, the Masters, U.S. Open, the Ryders Cup, etc.........

Members of the Hall of Fame

Just a sample of the "gold" plaques in the "Shell Hall."

Around the Hall

Just like any Hall of Fame, there is alot of old stuff on display and its not the one on the Swilcan Burn Bridge of St Andrews. I'll keep my driver as this one is impossible to swing. The wooden clubs on display were made in 1929 by Tom Stewart of Scotland for Bobby Jones. Can't imagine playing with these. Can't hit what I got now.

Another Hall

We went up I- 95 on the cold day here to St Augustine and the Golf Hall of Fame.

Happy New Year Everyone

Leaving this in New Smyrma Beach on New Years Eve to the Worlds Famous beach, Daytona Beach. Actually only about 26 miles and one flea market. We spent bringing in the new year on Main Street of Daytona Beach about 20 feet from the ball in shorts of course. Fireworks followed at midnight from the Main street pier. It was crazy but that's Daytona. Sorry, didn't take the camera.
