Stalling for time..

Added more pictures of our visit with the Chamberlins' as I missed them the first time posting. Hanging out in Summerfield today with temps going to the 80's this week.                                                                                    

Hidden in Inverness...

Yes, they can be found at their new retirement hideaway in Florida. Boyd and Judi Chamberlin are liking the snowbird life. We had a great with them before we move a little north.

To the "Freezer"

Journeyed over to Lake Panasoffkee to do lunch with Doug and Barb Park from Homer, NY. [Virgil area too]  Then drove over to Homosassa to the Freezer. It is an old fish storage building made into a restaurant. Great food and suds with a stop at the Inverness FL Eagles Club too.

Three Flags RV Resort..

Left the timeshare on Saturday, March 22nd for the RV life again. Will be here in Wildwood, FL until the 29th of March when we move a little north again. We backed off a week in our travel plans already and glad we did as the weather reports [friday] today doesn't look good.

Playing around hazards..

May have to add a stroke here and there for some movable objects and beauty at Cypress Lakes.

A little more golfing...

Spent a day with Dick and Brenda Hollenbeck golfing at Cypress Lakes Golf Course in their retirement community. Had great time trying to stay out of trouble as you can see.

Turn the sound down!!!!

To protect your ears, turn the sound down as John remarks about his shot out the waste bunker. Had a great time with John & Carol overall.Sorry but it beats the weather at Homer, NY.

Current status...

Arrived yesterday, Saturday, March 22nd at Three Flags RV Resort in Wildwood, FL which is 25 miles south of Ocala, FL. Yes, we are moving north but slowly. Spent saturday night at Boyd & Judy Chamberlin winter home in Inverness, FL throwing Coors lite cans at the TV on the 'cuse's last basketball game. Now back to the catch-up phase!

Ok, Linda and I are back at Orange Lake with John & Carol Simon. Carol's in A1 form for Monday night league already. We let this guy in the bottom picture play thru.

Found another treasure in Florida...

Located in Dundee, Fl is  Linda's first cousin Penny & her husband Paul Nielson. It has been 44 years in between visits and there was a lot to catch up on. So much, we have gotten together twice since. Mostly to play with their cat.

Strawberries...where???

Plant City, FL where else for the Strawberry Festival. One week long and draws all the snowbirds down like Mike & Suzanne Riley. We join the hunt for the best shortcake but  as you can see above, needed the GPS to find all the locations as we still can't read the maps.

Right across the street from our room, we had the miniature golf  with the links course in the background.

Still walking around the resort. There is 23 buildings and 986 rooms.

Finally back on the air with the posting. Staying here for four weeks, just past the 17th green. We are walking from the room, up the fairway and then looking back at our room.

Friends from home [Homer, NY] are down from the cold for short warm-up. We had Carol Simon, Suzanne Riley, [ picture two] Mike Riley and John Simon  [picture three] over for dinner one night. Notice the garbage bag of cans in the last picture.

Palisades Country Club

Back from Stuart, FL to Mystic Dunes Resort [timeshare] in Celebration, FL for four weeks. Headed to Clermont for a round at Palisades Country Club. Played with a couple from Chicago who were heading back tomorrow [March 1st] to another winter storm.

Side trip to Delray, FL..

Took a day trip to Delray to look at BJ & Traci's Time share that they haven't been to yet. South Shore Club is a small, neat and quiet located off A1A and as you can see, right at the beach.
