Last day in Florida......

Last day [week] was spent in Citra, FL at Grand Lodge RV and Golf Resort. Our new unit finally arrived last night so we can leave today, friday April 3rd. (April Fools 2 days late) We made the trip from Kissimmee to Wildwood and visited with Barb and Doug Park as well as Judy and Boyd Chamberlin. Caught up with Gloria and Jim Aylesworth in Ocala. Made the big move today[ friday] to St. Johns, SC. I 95 was a mess but going south was worse.

We played the hottest day of the winter at Mystic Dunes. Check the pot bunkers in picture 2.

                                Got the top floor in the center with the biggest patio. Nice!

Rocket Launch....

The above three photos are from the TV when SpaceX launched its latest rocket this month.

These two photos are from the patio of the timeshare. The upper was shot at 75 miles up and we are 60 from Cape Canaveral. The second was at 100 miles up.

Last day to watch at Westgate Resorts...

Leaving for Mystic Dunes so construction of the water park here at Westgate will have continue without us. Will be completed this summer or should be.!.?

New construction...

Our morning entertainment was checking the construction of the new water park next to our building. They start at 8AM thank GOD. More pixs later.

Who needs 5 o'clock somewhere.   Saturday, February 28 we moved to Westgate Resorts and our four bedroom timeshare to meet the whole freaken family. Daughter Traci and fiancee William "better known as BJ' flew into Orlando Friday night about 11pm, son Brian, friend Kelly and his mother Sharon flew into Sanford Saturday afternoon and daughter Kelley, husband Brian with grandpups Owen and Quint drove in Sunday afternoon to celabrate a birthday this week. That's not pepsi in the picture. A great time was had during the week. A great prime rib dinner cooked by Brian Pendell on Tuesday and a great show and dinner at Al Capone's Show on Wednesday. A lot of pool time, minature golf, shopping and trips to Walmart for supplies. Also enjoyed a short visit from Jim and Glo Aylesworth and John and Carol Simon during the week. Where have we been..

We leave the Lake Wales and Oakwood Golf Club after 2 weeks on saturday, February 21st and head for a week at Mystic Dunes in Celebration, FL to meet friends and family. Let the games begin!

Our first guests are Jim Williams and Charlane Huff from Sanford, NC down for few days of sunshine and golf. But first a happy hour for some catching up.

Lake Wales...

 Nice drive by Linda at Oakwood Golf Course in Lake Wales where we are currently staying. First hole reminds us of hilly Walden Oaks.

Oh, we moved....

Currently, February 1st, we have moved on to Liki Tiki on route 192 in Winter Garden, FL for the week. This is a view from our third floor balcony looking at the kids pools and Tiki bar, Ideal for the kids and the adults as there are lifeguards on duty.

We found him...

As stated early, we "found" John Simon of Homer, NY one sunday at his new southern retreat near Lake Wales, FL. Spent a couple of hours touring the area and the retirement home of the future. It's going to be quieter here than busy route 11.  Good luck hunting for those Pro V's in the back yard.

Last week also, we invited Doug and Barb Park of Homer to spend a couple of days and nights with us a Grand Villas. Had a great time playing pitch and Let's play nine card games. Showed them the senior special at CiCi's pizza and also made the trip to the famous Cherry Pockets to eat.

Just a fine day here in Orlando...

 Got out to MetroWest Golf Club here in Orlando for 18 on wednesday and a beautiful day it would have been at the pool. Got to 79 degrees and that was my score after 15. Linda didn't get her a hole-in- one but was happy to get over the water and on the green.

                 Found a Blue Heron protecting a water hazard. We missed them both.

On my way to my finshing hole, the mens' locker room down stairs. Then up to the bar for a well deserved toddy. The pictures on the wall are photos of each green. Very nice.

Still here...........

 Currently at Grand Villas in Orlando for the month of January. Surprised by the fly in by Kelley [Linda's daughter] for a short week visit. We are playing Digital Photo Scavenger Hunt at the resort. Activities committee gave us a list of 28 items to find in 45 minutes. The first picture above is group hug to a employee.

A team member laying on a bench. Team NY got 25 quests in 40 minutes and finished first. Yes, a little cool today. Better for the week-end. Kelley did get to meet her second [maybe third] cousin Penny and her husband, Paul on tuesday in Dundee, FL. Had a great visit with them.

Hope you all had a safe and joyous beginning of a new year. Spent the evening at the Park's place and enjoyed all the night's fireworks plus a few toddies.
