Golfing at Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course

Played golf with Jeff Allen at one of Disney's courses on a mid-70's sunny day in Kissimmee, Fl. Ginger had dinner waiting for us when we were done. Yum.

The Allen's of Moravia & Haines City FL

We went out last night (Monday night early) to CiCi's for Senior night (reduced pricing of course) to have the pizza buffet. Never knew there was that many seniors in the area. It was continually out the door waiting to get in.
We caught up with Jeff & Ginger [former Monarch employee] Allen today and went to Lakeland for the Snowbird Extravaganza 2010 at the Lakeland Center Exhibit Hall. The place was packed with RVers and regular snowbirds for give-aways, senior information and free entertainment. Stopped back to their winter home in Haines City for a visit.

Davenport, south of Orlando

Weather still good. Not hot like last week, but supposed to improve later in the week. It was 72 today after a overnight thunderstorm. At Themeworld RV resort for the week. Will be seeing Ginger (a long time Monarch employee) and her husband, Jeff Allen, from Moravia tomorrow when we go to a SNOWBIRD EXTRAVAGANZA in Lakeland. Had some water problems, but Keith diagnosed the problem, received the part today and installed it. He's soooooooooooo good. Now we have instant water again!

Last day in Ocala area

Played golf again with Aylesworths at Ocala Golf Club and the usual pitcher of beers. Gloria prepared dinner and Linda a Carrot Cake to end our wonderful ten day stay in the area. On to Davenport, FL Sunday for a week.

Hot Days

Did some pool time on Tuesday. Wednesday tried to sit in the sun and read my book, but it became too hot and had to go inside. Sorry!

Golfing on January 18th

Linda and I got out on a beautiful Monday at Ocala Golf Course with former Homer/Cortland friends, Jim & Gloria Aylesworth. We all played good and the rewards at the Club House with pitchers of Bud Lite ($5.50 each Cathi and Scott) and popcorn completed the day after dinner later.

Ocala, FL

FINALLY, the weather has improved. We're in Ocala and the temperature today was 72. Drove into this campground and there were people swimming in the pool! We actually wore shorts today for only the second time since we left home.
