Lake Wales...

 Nice drive by Linda at Oakwood Golf Course in Lake Wales where we are currently staying. First hole reminds us of hilly Walden Oaks.

Oh, we moved....

Currently, February 1st, we have moved on to Liki Tiki on route 192 in Winter Garden, FL for the week. This is a view from our third floor balcony looking at the kids pools and Tiki bar, Ideal for the kids and the adults as there are lifeguards on duty.

We found him...

As stated early, we "found" John Simon of Homer, NY one sunday at his new southern retreat near Lake Wales, FL. Spent a couple of hours touring the area and the retirement home of the future. It's going to be quieter here than busy route 11.  Good luck hunting for those Pro V's in the back yard.

Last week also, we invited Doug and Barb Park of Homer to spend a couple of days and nights with us a Grand Villas. Had a great time playing pitch and Let's play nine card games. Showed them the senior special at CiCi's pizza and also made the trip to the famous Cherry Pockets to eat.

Just a fine day here in Orlando...

 Got out to MetroWest Golf Club here in Orlando for 18 on wednesday and a beautiful day it would have been at the pool. Got to 79 degrees and that was my score after 15. Linda didn't get her a hole-in- one but was happy to get over the water and on the green.

                 Found a Blue Heron protecting a water hazard. We missed them both.

On my way to my finshing hole, the mens' locker room down stairs. Then up to the bar for a well deserved toddy. The pictures on the wall are photos of each green. Very nice.

Still here...........

 Currently at Grand Villas in Orlando for the month of January. Surprised by the fly in by Kelley [Linda's daughter] for a short week visit. We are playing Digital Photo Scavenger Hunt at the resort. Activities committee gave us a list of 28 items to find in 45 minutes. The first picture above is group hug to a employee.

A team member laying on a bench. Team NY got 25 quests in 40 minutes and finished first. Yes, a little cool today. Better for the week-end. Kelley did get to meet her second [maybe third] cousin Penny and her husband, Paul on tuesday in Dundee, FL. Had a great visit with them.
