Breakfast time for one of the white squirrels. These squirrels are not true albinos (they don't have pink eyes), but they certainly are white. Actually they're a color phase of the eastern gray squirrel (
Sciurus carolinensis). White individuals occasionally show up throughout the gray squirrel's range, as do solid black ones, and there's a cinnamon-colored phase in the Ocala National Forest.
